An esteemed engineering firm, with a rich history spanning over a century, seeks a Welding Specialist to bolster its welding coordination team. Renowned for delivering top-tier engineering solutions globally, we are committed to excellence in all facets of our operations.
This role would suit:
Ideal for individuals with IWS/EWS qualification and TWI registration, possessing a deep understanding of welding processes, including MIH/MAG(SMAW) and TIG (GTAW), alongside proficiency in mechanised welding systems and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the welding engineer in day-to-day welding activities.
- Assist in works order planning data (welding) for SAP.
- Conduct internal welder audits and audit functions.
- Develop and Monitor WPS as required.
- Identify root causes of weld issues and internal weld audit NCRs.
- Develop and implement changes driven by welder audit NCRs.
- Perform pre-audit analysis to ISO 3834.
Requirements:
- IWS/EWS International Welding Specialist certified or higher (IWT/EWT OR IWE/EWE)
- Knowledge of ISO 3834
- Experience within Heavy Manufacturing environment
Location: Stockport
Permanent: Full Time, 0800-1630 (Mon-Thurs), 0800-1300 (Fri)
Salary: c£50k (dependent on experience)
Benefits: 7% Pension Contributions, 4% from candidate, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
