Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer
Location: Nelson, Lancashire
Salary: Up to £45k DOE + Benefits including pension matched up to 6.5%, discretionary annual bonus, death in service policy, 24 days & Bank holidays & an additional 3 days need to be taken during shutdown period. Mostly site based with opportunities to work from home.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Systems Engineer to join a well-established British manufacturer of FMCG Machinery. This company supplies high-quality machines to leading food producers and other industries worldwide. As the business continues to grow, this role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting electrical control systems for state-of-the-art machinery in a modern manufacturing environment.

This position is ideal for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in control systems and a passion for designing innovative solutions. It would suit someone with knowledge of PLC and HMI software development, who enjoys working on both new projects and supporting existing systems. Candidates who are problem solvers, capable of working across departments, and confident in customer-facing situations will excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical control systems for industrial filling machines, including control panel layouts and wiring diagrams.
  • Collaborate closely with the mechanical design team to ensure cohesive system designs.
  • Develop and test PLC and HMI software using Siemens, Rockwell, and Mitsubishi platforms.
  • Provide technical support to customers, both remotely and on-site, for commissioning, testing, and training.
  • Assist the sales team with product development and trials at customer sites.
