A leading Electronics Manufacturer is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to act as a quality and reliability champion for key customer accounts across Europe. This position is vital in managing customer claims, driving root cause analysis, and facilitating continuous improvement in product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Who this job would suit:
This role is ideal for an experienced Quality Engineer with experience dealing with Customers to investigate complex problems using 8D disciplines within an Electronic, Electrical or Automotive Manufacturing background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer claims including complaints & returns, leading containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive failure analysis (8D) reports.
  • Support customer audits and site visits, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement by aligning customer quality requirements with internal processes.
  • Utilise quality tools and processes such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 8Ds, Corrective & Preventative Action (CAPAs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), External Audits, and more.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven Quality Engineer experience working particularly with Customers (some Supplier Quality will be considered).
  • Strong experience using 8D disciplines
  • Experience within Electronic, Electrical or Automotive Manufacturing sectors
  • Confident in dealing with complex and technical problem solving


Location - Oldham
Salary - £38k - £43k (dependent on experience)
Permanent - Full Time - 8:15am - 4:30pm (Mon-Fri)
Benefits - 31 days holidays (including BH), minimum 10% pension combined.
