One of our Global Clients who offer sales and support for their large comprehensive range of high-quality equipment based in the Stockport area are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer / Field Service Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to join our team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cylindrical Grinder to join a precision engineering team in a permanent position. This role involves operating and setting semi-automatic and manual grinding and fluting machines, working with Mazatrol and Mazak controls to produce high-precision components.
This role would suit a skilled and detail-oriented individual with experience in grinding operations, who thrives in a hands-on role requiring precision and adherence to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate semi-automatic and conventional grinding and fluting machines, including Cylindrical.
- Produce precision components to exact specifications, ensuring adherence to technical drawings.
- Inspect finished work using conventional measurement tools, identify deviations, and make corrections.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a tidy, safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the team to optimise processes and uphold high production standards.
The benefits of the role would include a competitive salary up £32k per annum depending on experience and a generous pension scheme. Holiday allowance would be 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and great overtime rates with opportunities for professional development and training.
- Flexible hours Monday to Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm.
