"Love recruitment, hate recruiters", a term that you will hear a lot in the Employment Solutions offices. No, not because we all hate each other and all other recruiters, but because we know the horror stories and bad experiences that you may have had previously with other agencies and we refuse to tow that same line.
Sometimes we will speak to businesses who may have had one bad experience with a recruiter, maybe several years ago, and have never gone back and that to us doesn't make sense. It's like having one lousy holiday and saying you're never travelling again or one bad pint and never going back to the pub.
We want to show you what it's like to work with a recruiter that will listen to what you want and deliver, communicating honestly and transparently throughout and prioritising relationship-building over KPI's.
Here's why we think that we shouldn't be lumped in with the rest, and you should consider Employment Solutions when you are next looking to make your next engineering or manufacturing hire.
We have put the top objections that we come up alongside real-life feedback that we have had from our Engineering and Manufacturing clients and candidates on Trustpilot. We hope that they can demonstrate to you why we think that you should consider working with Employment Solutions on your next recruitment drive. 1. You're too expensive/we have no budget.
Yes, recruiting is expensive. Whether you do it internally or use an agency, it isn't a cheap process. But the cost of using a recruiter to fill your jobs pales in comparison to the expenses you could incur by making a bad hire.
2. We do our own recruitment
Recruitment takes time. Writing a job spec, and an advert, sifting through CVs, interviewing and finally offering and negotiating with the successful candidate. Not every business has an internal recruitment or HR function. Meaning it usually falls to a Manager or Director. A recruiter can do all of this for you bar interviewing the candidates. Saving you hours spent away from something you would rather be doing (like your actual job).
3. Last time we got terrible service and no communication.
You've heard the horror stories. Recruiters take a job role from a business, send some CVs and then disappear into the ether, never to be heard from again. We pride ourselves on our top-notch communication, keeping both our clients and candidates fully informed from the start of the recruitment process to the finish.
4. Recruiters don't care about us.
Building great relationships with clients is Key in recruitment. Why would a business come back to you if you've treated them poorly? Employment Solutions has relationships with companies that are still as strong as ever 20 years on. How do we do it? By being honest and open with our clients, really getting to know them and their business and by supplying the right staff when they need them the first time.
5. Recruiters don't care about their candidates.
Candidates are a recruiters bread and butter. It's in our interest to treat our candidates well, and some agencies simply do not do this. At Employment Solutions, we make sure that our candidates understand everything about the role and company, are fully briefed before their interview and kept up to date at all stages of the process. This continues after placement for with every contractor getting a weekly call to make sure everything is ok with their assignment. Some of our contractors have worked for us for continuously for over 10 years.
6. Recruiters don't know anything about our industry or business.
We are not a generalist agency. We don't supply Teachers, Office Administrators or Telesales staff, we specialise in the supply of skilled Engineering and Manufacturing professionals. We know Engineering, Manufacturing and Technology recruitment, we know your business and the problems you face, and nine times out of ten, we know the people you employ. We go out of our way to make sure we know everything we can about your industry and your company so that we can match you with the best candidates possible.
7. They didn't understand the job.
A generalist agency may take your job, advertise it and send you over a few CVs. They might get lucky and find someone that fits the bill, but nine times out of ten, they probably won't. Leading to a bad overall experience for you as the end-user. As a specialist Engineering and Manufacturing recruiter, we have over 20 years of experience in the sector. We will ask the right questions and get to the real crux of what it is that you need.
Perhaps you're considering using a recruiter for your next hire, we hope these reviews and testimonials can give you an insight into what working with a business that genuinely cares about its clients and candidates can look like.
