An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Coordinator to join a dynamic engineering and manufacturing environment. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the design and workshop teams by managing procurement activities, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials. The position requires proficiency in SAGE 200 ERP and strong organisational skills to oversee purchase order processing, supplier management, and stores management. Key Responsibilities
- Raise and progress purchase orders, book goods inwards, and manage procurement through SAGE 200 ERP.
- Close purchase orders and oversee the end-to-end purchasing process.
- Resolve invoice queries and liaise with suppliers, supporting the Finance Manager as needed.
- Source alternative engineering products while securing cost-effective pricing and value for money.
- Participate in weekly production meetings and provide administrative support across the business.
- Work closely with the Workshop manager to assist in Production and Stores duties, fulfilling the spares orders and maintaining relationships with clients.
- Support stores inventory, ensuring materials are correctly received, logged, and stored efficiently, maintain accurate stock levels, conduct regular stock checks, and report discrepancies.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding stock availability and lead times.
Requirements:
- Strong Administration experience within Manufacturing or Engineering.
- Purchasing / Supply Chain / Procurement experience
- Stores / Inventory Management experience
- Experience using ERP & SAGE systems, SAGE 200 preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Strong IT skills - Office 365 desirable
Location: Bolton
Permanent
Salary: circa £25k-£30k (dependent on experience).
Hours: Full time, Mon-Fri, 0800-1700 (early finish Fridays).
